Outline of role
The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting bills & handling their own caseload in a busy by friendly department. The caseloads is high value, complex cases within Clinical Negligence, Commercial and Complex PI
Experience
The seek a person with 3-5 years experience in a Costs role with good bill drafting experience.
Knowledge of Commercial, Civil and Family costs would be advantageous as would membership of the ACL, although not essential. At least 3 years Costs experience either from an in-house or agency background. Strong understanding of Caselaw and CPR. Driven and determined to succeed. Ability to handle own caseload. Hardworking and tenacious
Day to day duties
- Preparation of Costs schedules and Estimates
- Preparation of Costs Budgets
- Drafting Bills of Costs
- Preparation of Points of reply to dispute
- Handling CFA and CCFA matters
- Responsible for handling Negotiations of costs to settlement
- Advising clients on cost recovery
