Salary £35-£50,000 + Bonus (OTE  £47-£69,000 -Figures based on 2018-2025)

The Role

To provide expert costs drafting and negotiation support across complex commercial litigation matters, ensuring accurate, timely, and strategically aligned cost documentation.  The role is pivotal in driving successful cost recovery outcomes, maintaining compliance with evolving case law, and enhancing client satisfaction through meticulous attention to detail and proactive communication.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drafting bills of costs ranging from values in the tens of thousands, to £1M + bills
• Serving said bills of costs either formally or informally and negotiating the same to a successful conclusion
• Managing all aspects of costs litigation
• Part 8 proceedings litigation
• Budget drafting
• Points of dispute/reply drafting
• Providing a cradle to grave costs service with detailed advice at several stages of the process
• Providing costs advice to client

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years in costs drafting, preferably within PI/Clin Neg some experience in commercial would be advantageous but not essential
• Proficiency in drafting bills of costs for complex, high-value cases
• Advocacy not required
