The role
You’ll work with world-class lawyers across multiple practice areas and multiple cities. Duties include
- Drafting and reviewing costs schedules, statements of costs and detailed bills of costs, as well as analysing and providing commentary on equivalent documents submitted by opposing parties.
- Advising on costs budgets and preparing client estimates.
- Producing and advising on supporting schedules for applications seeking security for costs and requests for interim payments on account.
- Collaborating with Internal litigators to provide clients with strategic advice on costs recovery and the broader procedural issues that arise in connection with such matters.
Requirements
Qualified costs lawyer or experienced draftsperson with at least 5 years’ practical experience (pre or post qualification) working with London City firms or equivalent large commercial practices and ideally, with experience of dealing with shipping disputes and arbitration proceedings, but not essential.
Good numeracy, excel, writing and communication skills.
Ideally, experience with AI and CostsMaster.
