 The role

As their Civil department continues to grow, they are seeking an experienced Civil Costs Draftsperson to join their specialist team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled costs professional with expertise in legal aid Civil billing to play a key role within a highly respected and collaborative national practice.

Duties include

• Preparing, drafting and managing bills of costs in high-cost Civil matters, including legal aid, inter partes and court-assessed bills.
• Producing and submitting claims through CCMS, ensuring compliance with current Legal Aid Agency guidance and requirements.
• Preparing high-cost case plans, amendments and related documentation.
• Supporting fee earners with costs queries, billing advice and case planning guidance.
• Managing a high volume of work with exceptional accuracy, efficiency and attention to detail.
• Monitoring developments in legal aid billing regulations, costs procedures and best practice within Civil law.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of costs processes and financial performance within the department.
