A Nationwide established Costs Consultancy that are continuing to grow. They cover High value PI/Clin Neg & Court of Protection.  They pride themselves on managing a large team but still creating a ‘family feel’ so that every person feels part of something – even when working remotely.

They seek an experienced and ambitious Costs Draftsman to join their expanding defendant costs team.  This is a fantastic opportunity to become an integral part of a growing national team, contributing your expertise and skills to deliver exceptional client service.

Responsibilities:

• Negotiating Costs Settlements: Engaging with opposing parties to reach fair agreements.
• Cost Management: Advising on budgeting and cost strategies.
• Legal Documentation: Drafting points of dispute and replies.
• Representation: Attending cost assessments and hearings when necessary.
• Compliance: Ensuring adherence to legal standards and regulations.

Skills Required:

• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with CPR (Civil Procedure Rules) and costs-related legislation.
• Attention to Detail: Precision in drafting and reviewing legal documents.
• Negotiation Skills: Ability to effectively settle costs disputes.
• IT Proficiency: Experience with costs drafting software like CostsMaster.
• Communication: Strong ability to explain cost-related matters clearly.
