Support study for ACL

The role

An excellent opportunity to undertake cradle to grave claimant costs work.

Duties include

• Managing a full cradle‑to‑grave claimant caseload across clinical negligence, personal injury, commercial disputes, group actions, and complex multi‑track litigation.
• Drafting Bills of Costs, Precedent H budgets, Budget Discussion Reports, and Costs Estimates for high‑value claimant matters.
• Preparing Points of Dispute and Points of Reply with a strong claimant‑side strategy and technical accuracy.
• Conducting advocacy at CCMCs, Detailed Assessment Hearings, summary assessments, and costs‑related interim applications.
• Negotiating costs with defendant firms, insurers, and panel representatives to secure maximum recovery for claimant clients.
• Advising clients on claimant costs strategy, proportionality, budgeting compliance, and settlement tactics.
• Preparing Statements of Costs for interim hearings, trials, and summary assessment.
• Other duties required of a Costs Lawyer

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience
• Desire to succeed
• ACL Sponsorship
